Planned Parenthood Launches 40 Days of Prayer for Abortion

From LifeSiteNews.com

Although Planned Parenthood has frequently complained of pro-life prayer vigils - particularly the biannual 40 Days for Life Campaign - one California Planned Parenthood affiliate seems to have chosen an unusually direct way of countering such efforts.

Last month, Six Rivers Planned Parenthood (SRPP) of Eureka, California, launched a campaign called the 40 Days of Prayer: Supporting Women Everywhere. The campaign, as noticed by Liberty Counsel, lists 40 different prayers for those involved in the “sacred care” of abortions to continue protecting, providing, and embracing the procedure - including mothers, escorts, abortionists, and everyone involved except the unborn children.

Some examples include Day 14, a prayer for “Christians everywhere to embrace the loving model of Jesus in the way he refused to shame women,” and Day 38, for “a cloud of gentleness to surround every abortion facility. May everyone feel calm and loving.”

I wish I could pray, Lord, forgive them for they know not what they do and actually believe it.

Just horrifyingly blasphemous beyond words.

Evil. Truly evil. I, too, Jackie, find it hard to think that they know not what they do. I think these people know perfectly well what they do. I realize we can’t judge, but it seems so obvious in this case. Maybe there are some people who really believe the garbage they spout, but if they do it seems like culpable ignorance.

Matt, Jackie, and others - I’ve been meaning to say this: I really, really wish you’d make the titles of the articles more truthful. I know LifeSiteNews is being very topical and polite in a journalistic way. This title should read, “Planned Parenthood Launches 40 Days of Demonic Prayer for More Abortions.” Thanks.

My husband and I believe that abortion is the greatest evil the world has ever known. The enormity of killing 54,000,000 unborn babies - in a “civilized” country like the U.S. - is an evil unsurpassed in the history of the world. I’m getting to the point where I don’t think it’s possible to have any sort of polite discussion with anyone who is firmly, obstinately pro-abortion. In order to have such a discussion, you have to have some common ground.

Actually that sounded sanitized. Let’s go with “Planned Parenthood Launches 40 Days of Demonic Prayer for To Kill More Children.”

Lest we forget their origin note: http://www.dianedew.com/sanger.htm. At one time the Post Office was thinking about a stamp in her honor.

This reminds me of the priests of Baal and their encounter with Elijah. I wouldn’t expect a “cloud of gentleness” if I were them.

CA has “right to privacy” in its Constitution, so this is all propaganda b.s.  Even if Roe v. Wade were overturned, there would be no impact on CA abortion promiscuity.

This is like me starting “40 Days of Prayer for South Dakota to have Pheasant Hunting” or “40 Days of Prayer for a Subzero Winter Day in South Dakota.”

Like a “mind reader” in front of 500 people saying, “Wait, I’m having an impression… one of you in this audience is divorced .”  Oooh.  Ahhhh.

If you talk to these folks, you will find that most of them really believe what they are doing is right.  They are DECEIVED.  There are others who are truly evil and know darn well what they are doing is wrong - but whether they realize or not they worship satan.

Jesus - we pray for eyes and hearts to be opened to your Holy Word.

Most of them say they really believe what they’re doing is right. But that doesn’t mean that they’ve examined their position carefully and arrived at a conclusion after logical thinking and honest soul-seaching. I think what they believe is that it’s convenient (hence right) to have their position. I don’t think they really care about the logic or the morality or the facts of any sort, other than the fact that they want absolute freedom, including the freedom to get rid of inconvenient babies.
