In case you were under any illusions that Fox News is an infallible source of information for conservatives, please check out this segment from “America’s Newsroom,” featuring anchor Martha McCallum and Judge Andrew Napolitano. In it, they say what not even Planned Parenthood says about itself: that it doesn’t do abortions. According to LifeNews:
Anchor Martha MacCallum was conducting a report on the decision by a federal appeals court to allow Texas to continue its effort revoking taxpayer funds from the Planned Parenthood abortion business.
“So judge obviously there has been a lot of debate in this country over whether or not the federal government and states should fund Planned Parenthood because they do refer people to and give them counseling with regard to abortion. They don’t perform abortions at Planned Parenthood,” she said to Napolitano, who responded, “Correct.”
“So Planned Parenthood says that most of what we do is outreach to women who need cancer screenings and basic health care, OBGYN health care, we do not provide abortions, we do counsel people, and we do help them, if they say that that’s what they want to do, we help them get there,” MacCallum added.
What’s really funny is that during the segment, there was a box in the corner of the screen offering various “Fox Facts” about the subject of the report, one of which stated, “Abortions accounted for 3% of procedures done by Planned Parenthood affiliates.” Way to make your talent look like morons, Fox.
On page 6 of the 2009-10 annual report of Planned Parenthood, we read this:
For those who are pregnant, Planned Parenthood provides
pregnancy testing
prenatal care
abortion
referral for adoption (select affiliates)
midlife care, helping women manage the effects of menopause (select affiliates)
Well, at least that’s what I read. Martha McCallum and Andrew Napolitano may have been looking at the Urdu version, which could be different.

How in the world do you get that wrong? Why don’t you call Obama “President Bush”. Seriously.

PP is of course the largest abortionist in the United States. They kill around 300,00 children a year.

Sheesh! What do they teach them in journalism school? Apparently the anchors have more training in hair and make-up than in fact-checking.

Anchors are similar to Mr. Obama. Fair to the eye and can speak well with a teleprompter. The other day here in DFW an anchorperson made some comments about a video clip of a car going off a hairpin curve on Pike’s Peak and bouncing down the steep mountain side. The intro said something about it being in a race. The anchorperson made some quips about the person shouldn’t be driving that way and should be punished or ashamed of themselves. They just totally missed what was going on the other anchorperson corrected them but they still couldn’t quite get it straight. It used to be that the newsreaders had read the news before they presented it on TV. Now just a pretty face and good elocution.

The most frightening is PP’s literature saying teenagers with AIDS don’t have any responsibility to tell others before they have sex with them. It’s their “right” to have sex, even if they may give someone a fatal disease.

Yes, I read that in their literature for teens. Aopparently, according to PP, if you have HIV or AIDS the only thing to consider when having sex is what the law of the state is on disclosure so that you can protect yourself from prosecution if you don’t discvlose and your partner gets the disease.

Well, if nothing else, you can say they are consistent. The sanctity of life means nothing to them so the position on HIV/AIDS merely extends that moral depravity into another area.

Looks like it shd be “adoption,” since they don’t provide help for adoption, but pack people off to someone who does. Only 2 letters different, they’re practically the same.
Maybe it’s a Freudian slip. (FS used to jokingly be called ‘psychological underwear’, but there’s apparently some real stuff in that category now, not just an old joke. :=(( )
