Did government blow NJ levee? *

Film maker Spike Lee, PBS Frontline and other investigative documentarians are enroute to the Tri-States area after a New Jersey levee failed to hold back storm surge waters. *

Lee and others have generated steady Twitter traffic, arguing that the Obama administration purposely compromised flood control and detailing the out-of-proportion damage allowed in lower Manhattan, especially Wall Street. *

“We know that there were explosions in and around NYC, just as there were when Bush destroyed levees to drown poor, Black children in New Orleans,” said Lee in a phone interview with Barbara Walters on The View.  “I can’t believe that President Obama is borrowing from the Bush playbook, but I do understand the just desire to drown rich,White Wall Streeters.” *

PBS has scheduled a special to be aired on Monday, the eve of the Presidential election.  Lee plans an independent film to be released on Inauguration Day, 2013. *

* This foolishness is all parody.  Chill, please.  Just pointing out the paranoid hypocrites who are my social betters.

Hey, can we get some high-profile caucasian singer to go on the teevee and declare that “Barack Obama doesn’t care about white people,” just to complete the circus?

I heard that the storm was the fault of Trinity Wall Street who prayed to the heavens to flush out the “Occupiers”.

Stay close, Jeffersonian & Pewster.  We’ll all be guest experts on the History Channel yet.

““We know that there were explosions in and around NYC, just as there were when Bush destroyed levees to drown poor, Black children in New Orleans,” said Lee…”

See, once again the current administration takes the heat for a government program begun in the previous administration.*  The DoJ was clearly blowing up levees before this adminstration took office, and this is simply a continuation of that program.  You can’t expect the current administration to be able to undue overnight all the naughty and regressive policies of the previous adminstration.

And let’s say it together: “no, you can’t see the documents.”

It certainly has the air of truthiness about it.

#4 - most excellent analysis.  You shouldn’t be confined to SF comments, you deserve at least an hour on MSNBC!

#5 - Let’s hope! (but nevah, nevah change.)

I think around New York it’s spelled “Levi.”  Local pronunciation puts the emphasis on the second sylable “eye”  and not “eee.”

Thanks, Nikolaus - I should have remembered that from GTS days.

Please, Tim+,

The History Channel has done so much to rewrite history lately, surely they could not be a part of this current unpleasantness.  I’ve quit watching their ‘specials’, unless we go to supper at the local bowling alley since we don’t have TV at home any more.  Great satire!  To bad many will think it true.

Rush Limbaugh “Morning Update” today riffed on Spike Lee going to criticize gov’t response to Sandy.  SF beat that by a week.  Just sayin’.

And for Heaven’s sake, can someone find Randall Robinson over at Transafrica and shake him awake long enough to aver in all seriousness that Staten Islanders have descended into cannibalism because of the inaction of Dr. Revenge?
