I can’t wait for “Springtime for Schori and 815”.

Springtime for….? Oooo now there’s a challenge for someone!

Here is my, ahem, quite modest attempt from a few years ago…

“I was an unfunded academic
No one more obscurer
Got a phone call from 815
Told me I was clergy
GC was blue
What, oh, what to do?
Hitched up my pants
And bishoped over to Nevada
Now TEC’s smiling through!
But it wasn’t always so easy…
It was 2006. Duncan was working the Big Room and I…
I was playing the lounge. And then I got my big break.
Somebody turned Parsley down. And, would you believe it?
They made me presiding. The PeeBee!
It ain’t no myst’ry
If it’s politics or hist’ry
The thing you gotta know is
Ev’rything is show biz
Heil myself
Watch my show
I’m the Vested Ethel Merman
Dontcha know
We hate crossing borders
The new canonical order is here
Make a great big smile
Ev’ryone sieg heil to me
Wonderful me!
And now it’s…”

Okay, U.P. #2, I LOL’ed.

Yah.  That upper-lip hair has gotten to be a problem.

There have been many wonderful breakthroughs in hair removal.  I haven’t tried NoNo, but it’s on my wish-list.

Hey - I’m middle-aged, too.  Happens to the best of us.

Hilarious, though a bit insulting to the Wehrmacht High Command.

Devastatingly funny, and yet captures the Presiding Bishop and her rotten regime exactly.  Well observed, Peter Ould.

I believe the original footage is from the film “Downfall.”  Which is somehow fitting.

The subtitles, of course, are from the meeting of the council of advice.

It would be funny if it weren’t so true.  Actually raised the hairs on my arms.  Truly scarey.

Sorry.  My sources inside 815 inform me that Ould’s video is a fake.  The real meeting can be found here.

ANY excuse to post that thing.

In the Anglican spirit of compromise…..

[12] Posted by tjmcmahon on 12-7-2012 at 06:52 PM · [top]

The country can’t be worshipping the PBess as the one true god. It’s too busy worshipping the current occupant of the White House…

Keep in mind that, unless she decides to succeed herself (and who in GC would dare vote against her or bring up canon law?), she will need a new job in 2015, which would give her a year to campaign.

#14, it’s Justin Welby who should be nervous. Perhaps the Bishop of Rome, as well.

She’ll do everything within her power to make Bp, Welby her puppet. The first time he yields to her, she will become the de facto Archbishop of Canterbury.

Her overall strategy would be to bring about schism in the Church of England, and force the GAFCON folks to split from the Anglican Communion, leaving a liberal (albeit small) remnant that she can rule.

Such is the nature of totalitarian despotism. Adolf wasn’t content to be Fuehrer of Germany. That wasn’t enough.

This isn’t the Wicked Witch of the West or Elvira Gulch in action. If we don’t feel comfortable with comparisons to Germany of the 1930’s then one might observe that it’s like Klingsor and Kundry.

This is spiritual warfare, writ large.

“My ego can handle that “,  priceless,  David.

And I can see her assimilating the Obamameister into her regime,  they would do well (hell)  together.  Just what they both want. And the sycophants who follow would soon see what the rest of us have been resisting for the past thirty years.

It sure looks like David Booth Beers standing behind the PB, and can that be the girls from Goodwin Proctor weeping outside?

I’m really missing The Snarkster right about now….

[18] Posted by Cindy T. in TX on 12-11-2012 at 08:36 PM · [top]

Just before I opened this link I thought to myself,“I wonder when someone is going to the “Hitler” video for the Presiding Bishop?”.  I guess I got a Christmas present early.  It was masterful.

We must take heart that the Snarkster is busily typing away… we just will have to wait awhile before we can read his wit.

Amen, Fr. Chip… Amen.

Peter Ould,
That is magnificent! The first time we watched this gem of a video we both laughed so hard we thought one of us would split a gut! Truly ROTFLMAO!!!!

Cindy T, Ohh so true, Perfect Snarkster opportunity! Miss his wit!!
RIP beloved Snarkster.

What many may not know is that the Diocese has a relationship with the Citadel. So if anyone were to try to send in troops, we are probably the only diocese that can call on young Marines to defend us!  wink
