I see this becoming more the norm as cash flow dries up. You could vestments with all kinds of images, like NASCAR ads. Imagine GoDaddy, Burger King, Nathan’s, some bank being branded the “Offical Bank of TEC”. Sermons could also be co-branded with the vestments. For instance, preaching on “Breakfast with the King” (Burger King) or “Searching for Significance” (Yahoo). Just say’in….

Alas, it’s often been said in the past that the only real heresy in TEC is “bad taste.”  All too true.  But that old joke isn’t even funny anymore.

If you’re doing burgers, then there are no salad forks.  No salad forks is just plain heresy. What will they say about us at the country club? Couldn’t he at least have a chausable with a watercress salad and a few cumcumber sandwiches?

Crazy thing about this is that the bishop is a conservative, RC bishop in Marquette.
Don’t know why the McBurger vestments, but he personally is not loony.
