Getting Rid of Pride All Year Long
Christians at least should know, pride is contrary to goodness and kindness. Pride is the thing that breaks apart human communities, that destroys relationships, that wrecks the love that binds people together. It isn’t pride that makes God finally realize how clever and lovely his creatures are. What do you think is going to happen when you go into ministry? That you’ll be such an amazing preacher that thousands of people will crowd in to hear you and you’ll have to beam yourself into another campus?
